Why is the policy different from new students?
If you are re-enrolling, you know the drill by now, and must have done well with our program. We want to make things easier and more affordable for the 40% of our families who return to our center year after year for continued services. For those reasons, our policy is slightly different for Evergreen program students.
A significant number of families recognize the critical need for continued academic support in today's environment. So with the growing number of students who have been with us for 2+ years, we created a new program to cater to their specific needs. Sign up once, and you get support for your academic needs for the entire school year, as you see fit!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are there no make up sessions?
Make up sessions are incredibly difficult to schedule for families (yet another thing to fit into busy schedules!) and challenging to schedule for us (trying to best assign students to teachers, finding additional time slots, etc). Instead, for Evergreen students, we decided to offer a substantial discount to compensate for doing away entirely with make ups!
How should we alert you to scheduling issues or changes? Should we call?
For timely issues (running late due to traffic, student is ill, etc), send a us text! It allows us to quickly update any impacted teachers and notate on our schedule. For other issues, esp vacations and extended program changes, send us an email (admin@huntingtonelkgrove.com).
What if my student gets sick a lot and misses a lot of sessions?
Talk to us! The Evergreen Program might not be the best fit for your family right now or it might be preferable to temporarily hold your student's program until he/she has the consistent schedule availability for tutoring.
Do we need to make up major holidays?
See our academic calendars for the days that our centers are closed (intentionally few to allow more opportunities for students to catch up academically while school is out). You are not charged for those days our center is closed.
Can I pay for the Evergreen program monthly?
Unfortunately, no. In order for us to be able to offer the lowest price possible for this program, tuition must be paid in June and December per the terms of the Evergreen program.
Do we need to schedule sessions in advance or can we just drop in as needed?
In order to maintain the right staffing for our students, we do need a consistent weekly schedule if you choose Option A. If you choose Option B, we will also work with you in advance to schedule the sessions during school breaks/vacations.
There IS flexibility, however, that we don't offer in any of our other programs. You can change the scheduling if your student's needs change. For example, your student may have a challenging math class in the first quarter and come weekly during that time. He/she may not need any support in the second quarter. All we ask for is advance notice (use the standard availability form) sto allow us sufficient time to adjust the scheduling.
What happens if my student can't maintain a 3.5 GPA? Will we need to leave the Evergreen Program?
The goal of this program is to provide flexible support for an already successful student throughout their academic year. So if your student starts to struggle with a class or subject, it's really easy to let us know and have us step in to help before things get worse. There are no hard/fast rule re: the 3.5 GPA.
However, if there are more issues and we think a student needs MORE help than can be provided in the Evergreen Program, you know we're all about transparency! We'll meet with you and discuss other options, which may mean a different program we offer.
